Do you have a local writers critique group? My writing has improved ten-fold from being in one

Not that I know of. I know my grammar needs improving

I tell my group that I consider myself a great story teller, but am not good at the mechanics. They help me with that, but more importantly, they’ve made me a much better writer I highly recommend.
