One man’s perspective on mental health

One Man’s Perspective on his mental health.

Yes I felt flat and low in mood the other day. This was not due to anyone it was one of those moments when my mind flipped that switch.

The next morning is important on what you do.

I forced myself to get out of the house and go for a walk. Yes I was still feeling low in mood. I went for a walk into town as I didn’t want to go to the gym.

Once sitting with my coffee I sat there for a good 45 minutes drinking it and just people watched. After this I just wondered around looking in shops at things I like but didn’t buy.

Once I got home which was about three hours later, I felt so much better.
Don’t get me wrong I still had my mind trying to tell me I don’t deserve to feel happy but I did not let it win.

Plan for tomorrow is to get up early and go to the gym for a long treadmill walk.
I hope this helps someone that struggles too

One man’s perspective on mental health

One mans perspective,
A man could be having a good day. Feels good and be on an up. But then something in their head could flip that switch and then he goes flat in mood and emotions. This is not because someone has upset or angered then , it is an emotional reaction to daily life and that they don’t deserve having a good day.

Then your emotions will make it had to get out of the dark emotional state you are in. This is when some people turn to alcohol or drugs to numb that feeling.

Some people recognise that they are feeling low but find ways to bring themselves out of this state. Some find it difficult to ask or get help and will not want help.

Be kind and never judge if someone is not presenting as them self, just be there for them.
